Upon completion of SNARK05 installation, various
executable binaries and scripts
will be located in the system directory that you either specified or
allowed the install script to choose for you. (The default
installation location for these executables is
'
/usr/local/snark05/bin'.)
One such script is '
snark05GetExperimenter',
described briefly below.
snark05GetExperimenter:
'
snark05GetExperimenter'
may be used by any user to set
up a directory for building the
'
snark05Experimenter'
executable incorporating a
user-defined figure of merit (FOM). All
instructions for the actual implementation of the user-defined FOM
will be found in the
directory '
snark05Experimenter', which the
script creates in the location of the
user's
choosing. (These instructions are not listed here.)
To illustrate how to use '
snark05GetExperimenter',
the following instructions walk you through setting up the
'
snark05Experimenter' directory
within your home directory:
1. Move to your home directory:
$ cd ~/
2. Invoke the script '
snark05GetExperimenter':
$ snark05GetExperimenter
(As long as the installation directory is in the
system's PATH variable, '
snark05GetExperimenter'
can be invoked from anywhere in the system.)
3. Respond to the script's prompt (asking for a location to set up the
'
snark05Experimenter' directory) by typing:
./
You may of course decide to set up the
'
snark05Experimenter' directory
wherever you desire. Simply respond to the '
snark05
GetExperimenter' script's prompt accordingly.
